Autodesk Navisworks Essential Training
About This Course
Navisworks is a project review software to improve BIM (Building Information Modelling) co-ordination. This course was designed for construction personnel, architects and engineers looking to integrate design with the as-built world. Join me as I show you how to use Navisworks for controlling and getting a holistic view of your projects. We will be talking about the user interface, managing models, clash the models for interference checking and learn how to use the timeliner feature of the software.
Learning Objectives
Navigate the Navisworks interface.
Appending building models.
Looking around the building model.
Working with the viewpoints.
Measuring the distance between models.
Animating, hiding, unhiding and selecting objects.
Linking information to models.
Running clash detection.
Adding timeline using the Timeliner.
Requirements
- You should have a background in Architecture, any engineering or construction field that requires project review for 5D simulation, coordination, analysis, and communication of design intent and constructability of a building.
Target Audience
- This software is intended for professionals working within Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. It is a misconception that this software is to be used only by Builders or Project Managers. Nowadays, people involved in the said industry are becoming more and more pro-active in running a project through efficient design and document management within their company prior to collaborating with other disciplines. This reduces a lot of discrepancy and resolves possible issue within their own model thus, saves everyone a lot of time doing Design and Project Coordination work.
