About This Course

This course will enable the students to design and document projects. Place intelligent elements like walls, doors and windows. Revit generates floor plans, elevations, sections, schedules, 3D views and sheets. Since Revit is a multi-discipline BIM platform, you can share model data with engineers and contractors within Revit, reducing co-ordination tasks.

Learning Objectives

Graphical editor for parametric objects
The intuitive graphical family editor in Revit creates parametric components that you can automatically adapt to conditions or control through parameters. This capability is especially helpful for components, such as façade panels on free-form buildings, that need to change and adapt depending on the situation.
Integrated levels of detail
Three projectwide levels of detail make it easy to control the current LOD (Level of Detail). You can implement different display modes in a model and select according to the current planning phase.
Project phases
Revit provides intuitive tools for creating construction phase plans, conversion plans, or fire-protection plans in one BIM model. These tools help you automatically create requested views and time sheets. You can independently choose which phase is visible in a view and apply color, hatch, and line style to its representation.
This functionality makes it easy to incorporate different views of a model in the same project file.
